Rich Dad Education Employees Volunteer to Help Habitat for Humanity

CAPE CORAL, Fla., Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Employees at Rich Dad Education have responded to the call for volunteers recently issued by Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties. They will be helping that organization build homes in the Southwest Florida area on Tuesday, March 19th and Friday March 22nd.

Company CEO Anthony Humpage remarked, "Rich Dad Education teaches our students the importance of generosity when it comes to being of service to others. As a company, we are always looking for ways we can contribute to the well being of others. Working with Habitat for Humanity is one way we can accomplish that goal."

"We are grateful to companies like Rich Dad Education who are willing to volunteer their time to the task of providing homes for people in need so they may build better lives for their families," added Katherine C. Green, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties.

During the economic downturn that began in 2008, Lee County had the second highest foreclosure rate in the country along with the third highest unemployment rate. That has made for an urgent need for the type of clean, decent houses that Habitat for Humanity provides.

With the current oversupply of homes in the local market, it has become more cost effective to rehabilitate existing homes than to build new ones. This fact made Habitat for Humanity an especially good fit for Rich Dad Education. One of the Company's more popular trainings involves teaching real estate rehabilitation skills.

"Everyone here is happy that we can use some of the expertise we have taught many of our students right here in our own community," said Charles Kuehne, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "I know our team members are excited about this opportunity to reach out and help local families."

Rich Dad Education's Anthony Humpage had one final thought. "Our company focuses on the concept of a team. We are all team members working for a common goal. These volunteers work at Habitat for Humanity not only to give us a chance to be of service to our community, they also help us build the team spirit that's so vital to our success."

Favoritenwechsel
