PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis., Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Rehrig Bulk Pooling Services (Rehrig BPS), an innovative leader in reusable packaging services and solutions including asset management, reverse logistics, as well as recycling and sustainability services, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Ball Corporation to provide complete transport packaging services and management for 15 Ball beverage can plants in North America. Rehrig BPS will manage all requirements for handling and reverse logistics that are necessary to service and maintain Ball's reusable packaging assets. Ball's pallets, top frames and separator sheets, used in the storage and transport of empty metal containers, will be recovered, sorted, inspected and cleaned/repaired upon return from Ball's customers.
Rehrig BPS operates its service centers on HACCP principals and creates traceability and trackability for all inbound, processed and outbound materials. Rehrig's commitment to food safety allows Ball to focus on their core competency while the service is compliant with the ever changing landscape that is our food supply chain.
