BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Delphian has developed and tested a Bluetooth-IP Gateway as an extension of its SecuRemote technology platform, enabling remote access for Bluetooth devices. This technology is the first of its kind to address the increasing need for Bluetooth connectivity directly to the web. Such technology offers significant commercialization potential for manufacturers of Bluetooth products, particularly because of installation simplicity and ease of use.
Technology features include:
- Automatic Configuration. Powering and connecting the Gateway to a router is all it takes to connect to a network.
- A proprietary communication security method exclusive to the SecuRemote Technology platform. This method prevents smartphone replication and includes an encryption layer.
- Multi-Device connectivity. Ability to connect and control multiple Bluetooth devices within a range of up to 90 ft.
- Automatic Communication Path Switching. Ability for smartphone apps to connect and communicate with Bluetooth devices directly or indirectly through the Gateway. SecuRemote devices can switch between the two communication paths seamlessly and automatically.
Delphian's Bluetooth-IP Gateway will be released in Q2 as part of commercial OEM applications related to home automation products.
