LANSING, Mich., March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, the largest franchised moving company in the U.S., is pleased to announce its system has donated more than $2 million in moving services in 2012.
Long known as the Movers Who Care®, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country, as well as the Home Office located in Lansing, Mich., strive to continuously give back to the communities around them through various community service projects.
Franchisee Jason Judson (St. Louis, Mo.; Ogden, Utah; Salt Lake City East, Salt Lake City, West, Utah) said his St. Louis location donated more than $76,000 worth of moving services in 2012. Judson's charitable efforts in 2011 won his franchise the system's Humanitarian award.
"Our community is the reason we wake up every day and come to work. If it wasn't for our community, we would not have a thriving business and be able to employ so many great people," he said. "Giving back to the community that makes us thrive is part of our core beliefs."
Judson's core beliefs, along with the entire TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system, support the very way the company came about more than 20 years ago when Founder Mary Ellen Sheets donated her entire profit in her first year of business - $100 to 10 different charities. Today, it gives her great pride to see franchises across the system donating to those who truly need it.
