HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., March 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOS) today announced the election of James F. Gooch to its Board of Directors and as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Gooch had served as President and Chief Executive Officer of RadioShack Corporation and prior to that as its Chief Financial Officer. Earlier in his career he was employed by Helene Curtis, The Quaker Oats Company, Kmart Corporation, and Sears Holdings. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Gooch's election increases the number of directors to seven.
