SEOUL, South Korea, April 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The place to be to learn the latest trends, technologies and accessories about photography and imaging, '2013 PHOTO & IMAGING' started April 4th.Begun in1989,this is already the 22nd P&I show being held in Korea.Known as the largest photo and imaging exhibition in Asia, it will be open for visitors untilthe 7th.
Sponsored by COEX, Korea Photonic Industry Association, and Korea Photo Image Industry Association, manufacturers like Samsung, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Fuji, SAEKI P&C and other photo and imaging related companies will be participating. There will be over 750 booths occupied by 300 brands from 18 different countries.
At this year's show, New Media Wave, Smart Accessory Show, Family, Camping and Photo, Seoul Photo, Photo&Optics and other events are scheduled. Also, visitors can take part in the Spring Photo Contest, art fair, art exhibitions, and performances.
Providing Various Entertainment for Visitors
For the first time ever at a photo and imaging exhibition, the Corporate Social Responsibility program will be held. Compelled to give away free items, the 'Dreaming Camera' was planned for the children of poor countries.
'Dreaming Camera' gave away disposable cameras to children living in poverty in the countries of Africa, Mongolia, Laos, and Sri Lanka. The children used the disposable cameras to take treasured photos. At this exhibition, you will be able to discover another value in photos that cannot be captured by high-end cameras, as stated by the representative of the event.
There will also be 'P&I Photo Book Fair' for those in need of books relating to photos and 'DSLR Movie Zone' that introduces you to DSLR Cameras and their features. Visitors are able to learn various information regarding digital imaging through 'P&I Photo Studio', 'P&I Seminar' and 'Spring Photo Contest'.
Exhibitions to Learn the Latest Trend on Photo and Imaging
Besides the events and showcases the booths will provide, visitors can experience five photo-related exhibitions at the 2013 P&I Show.
'Family, Camping and Photo' exhibition will be held for visitors that are interested in camping. 'New Media Wave' will exhibit new media trend related to photo and videos. 'Smart Accessory Show' will have a contest on the latest smart accessory, 'Seoul Photo' will exhibit professional photos and 'Photo & Optics' will exhibit their latest photo and imaging.
Representative of COEX stated, "We hope to provide the latest domestic and international information at this event to increase the public interest on the digital photo imaging. And, hopefully through that, the culture of photo and imaging can develop as well."
