ACMA Announces New Compass Orientation Program: Directional Training for Case Managers

LITTLE ROCK,Ark., April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Case Management Association (ACMA) is pleased to announce a comprehensive orientation program designed to provide training for new case management staff or serve as a refresher for existing staff.

The program is called Compass, as it provides Directional Training for Case Managers. The program curriculum was developed by an interdisciplinary taskforce of case management leaders and consists of 16 sections.

The program includes: online training videos, online competency tests to validate comprehension of video modules and a hardcopy companion manual based on the modules that can be used as a reference or teaching aid if desired. The designated account administrator adds staff members in order to grant them access to the online program.

Compass is designed to provide consistent and standard training for case management staff on the key tenets of hospital case management practice. This educational tool will minimize or even eliminate the need for a case management leader or educator to train staff on these key concepts, areas and regulations.

Compass will be available in May, but ACMA is offering a pre-order special: the first 100 to pre-order and pay by April 30, 2013 save 25%.

Standard, small facility, and multi-hospital system pricing is available. To view pricing information and order the Compass program online, go to www.acmaweb.org/Compass.

Founded in 1999, the American Case Management Association (ACMA) is a national, non-profit, professional membership association, which supports the profession of case management in the hospital or health system setting. ACMA members are nurses, social workers, physicians, educators, administrators, and other professionals responsible for providing case management services in hospitals. Learn more about ACMA at www.acmaweb.org.
