Serono Symposia International Foundation (SSIF) organizes a two-day meeting on Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) entitled "Improving success in ART: how to define it and key strategies to get the best outcomes" that starts today in Athens. The medical definition of infertility is the failure to conceive after twelve consecutive months of unprotected sexual intercourse. Globally, it is estimated that infertility concerns from 8% to 12% of couples with women of childbearing age and that affects between 50 and 80 million people[1].
