MELVILLE, N.Y., June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, Creative Media Agency, LLC conducted two social media studies amongst Long Island companies with 200 or more employees (the first study compiled data of companies with 200-500 employees, while the other study compiled data of companies with 500 or more employees). The study found that companies, despite having many of the popular social media profiles such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, generally do not utilize their social media presence for generating new business, branding or for recruiting talent.
Companies do not leverage social media.
- 62% of those companies have a Facebook page,
- 57% have a LinkedIn page
- 45% are on Twitter.
Yet 75% of those companies with a Facebook page were within the minimum range of page "likes" (0-1000). While 87% of the companies with a LinkedIn page and 90% of companies with a Twitter account were within the minimum range (0-1000) of "followers."
