Grand Canyon University Foundation Aids Oklahoma Tornado Relief Efforts

PHOENIX, June 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Grand Canyon University Foundation is lending a helping hand to victims of tornado-ravaged Oklahoma through a $10,000 donation to United Way of Central Oklahoma's May Tornadoes Relief Fund.

The funds will be distributed without administrative fees to United Way's partner agencies that provide direct and immediate aid to residents in hard-hit areas.

"Our hearts go out to the many Oklahomans and their families who were affected by this terrible disaster," said Brian Mueller, Grand Canyon University's president and CEO. "We want to do all we can to get them back on their feet and into their homes."

GCU has a legacy of serving others and guiding its students to become socially responsible servant leaders by connecting with their community.
