Fast-Growing Grocer ALDI to Bring Its Simply Smarter Shopping to Southern California

BATAVIA, Ill., June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --ALDI confirmed today that the grocery retailer is in the initial stages of discussions to potentially locate a warehouse in Moreno Valley, Calif. Additionally, ALDI is further developing its plans to expand to Southern California, and will share more information as those details are finalized.

With more than 1,200 stores across two-thirds of the country, ALDI has grown without merger or acquisition. Over the last several years, ALDI has added, on average, 80 new stores each year, serving more than 25 million customers each month.

At ALDI, customers can expect to find more than 1,400 of the most frequently purchased grocery items, including fresh meats, fruits, vegetables and bakery products, under ALDI exclusive brands for prices up to 50 percent* less than traditional supermarkets.

To ensure its exclusive brands meet or exceed the national brands on taste and quality, ALDI conducts rigorous testing on all of its products. ALDI stands behind this quality with a Double Guarantee: If for any reason a customer is not 100 percent satisfied with any ALDI food product, the grocer will gladly replace the product and refund the customer's money.
