Brief bit about Weezie:
Weezie Macdonald is the author of the new mystery novel Tea Leafing, which was partly inspired by her years working in an upscale Atlanta strip club. Weezie is a writer, creative director and Pilates buff. Her Chihuahua Edna is not as well-dressed as her literary counterpart.

About the book:
What if you had to live life anonymously? Hide your job? Know your friends by pseudonyms? Be vigilant to make sure you aren't being watched or followed? This is life for our four main characters, Sam, Grace, Birdie, and Mary Jane. They are exotic dancers living in Atlanta, and life is pretty good until one of their own is murdered. In their search for the murderer, they uncover a darkness lurking just below the surface. Not everyone is who they seem, and the culprit is much too close for comfort. Tea Leafing weaves a fast-paced thriller in with a true insider's look at the world of exotic entertainment.

In Weezie's own words:
I was born in Iowa and raised in a small Minnesota town where I was given plenty of love and taught the value of hard work and education. My dad was a doctor, more interested in healing people than getting rich, and my mom stayed home to raise my sister and me. They paid their taxes on time, went to church on Sundays, waxed the cars twice a year, and wrote thank you notes. It was a solid upbringing.

At 24, after graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and before my real life began, I was a dancer in a high-end Gentlemen's Club in Atlanta. At first I struggled, knowing girls like me aren't supposed to do things like that. But I soon realized, those places are filled with girls like me. It felt sneaky, cultish, and a little dangerous, living beyond the fray. And I loved every minute of it.

In my professional life, I own a branding and packaging agency called Rouge 24 that I grew from a successful freelance career -- www.Rouge24.com.

Over the years I've done work for major Fortune 500 clients, Cartoon Network, Scuba Diving Magazine, Word World/PBS Kids, Iams and Pucca.
