NEW YORK, July 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --American Lawyer magazine has issued its coveted A-List for 2013 and once again Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has been named to the Top 10.
First produced in 2003, the A-List is Am Law's way of looking beyond pure financial metrics to rank the nation's leading law firms. The magazine assesses firms based on a combined set of criteria that includes revenue per lawyer, but also pro bono practice, diversity and satisfaction among associates. The four categories are then combined for an overall A-List score. Only the Top 20 firms nationally are selected to the list, revealing what Am Law editor Aric Press has called "the exemplars" of the legal industry.
Milbank has been an A-List member for nearly all 11 years since its inception. This year, the firm was tied for Number 8; in several categories - diversity and revenues per lawyer - Milbank ranked in the top four.
