Los Camperos and "El Charro de Oro" Sebastian De La Cruz have joined the record-breaking attempt at halftime of the Mexico vs. Panama match, with legendary boxer "The Golden Boy" Oscar de la Hoya as guest of honor.
Los Camperos, one of Los Angeles' most popular mariachi groups and Sebastian De La Cruz - singer of the U.S. National Anthem in San Antonio during the 2013 NBA Finals - will lead The City of Pasadena's record-breaking attempt of 600 mariachis. Representatives from Pasadena, local cities, the Mexican and Panamanian consulates, and 10-time world champion in six weight classes and Gold Medal winner at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona Oscar De La Hoya, will attend this historic event. The current world record (set in 2010 by 555 mariachis in Tucson, AZ) will be challenged at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena-America's Stadium and proud home of the annual Rose Bowl Game, UCLA Bruin Football and various high-profile events.
