Jack Klugman's 40-acre Rare Wine Country Estate Goes to Auction

LOS ANGELES, July 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Auction marketing specialistsPremiere Estates Auction Company, in conjunction with Chad Rogers of Hilton & Hyland and Karin McCoy of Allison James Estates & Homes, announced the auction of a 40-acre, 14,000 square foot Spanish-style estate compound nestled in the wine country of Temecula, CA. With an original list price of $12 million, the home located at 35438 De Portola Road in Temecula has a starting bid of only $2.9 million. The auction of the 9,000 square feet main residence, four guest house compound with horse facilities, golf course, pool and tennis court is to take place July 27 at 1 PDT. It will be held on site, telephonically and by proxy utilizing the Premiere Estates Auction Company exclusive 'WorldBid Auction platform', which allows buyers to bid from any place, anywhere, anytime.

As seen on NBC's LXTC Open House, this ranch was built by the famous actor Jack Klugman of The Odd Couple in the style of old Hollywood with Spanish-inspired details. The expansive 40-acre property boasts a 5-hole golf course, 4 guest homes, pool, cabana and koi pond. Designed as a thoroughbred breeding and training facility, the property has two riding arenas, paddocks and pastures, and RV Barn.

Premiere Estates Auction Company requires only a bidder registration form and cashier's check of $100,000 in order to register to bid. The bidder can bid on site, telephonically or by proxy on auction day. The Premiere Estates Auction platform also allows more buyers access to luxury home purchase by requiring only 10% down to secure financing.

Fitzgerald explains the advantage of the auction process over traditional purchase. "In the auction process, the buyer is in control. He ultimately determines market value of a property." Fitzgerald adds, "The buyers are the market."
