MEXICO CITY , July 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --BBVA Bancomer today announced its sponsorship of La Liga MX, which will now be known as Liga BBVA Bancomer. This partnership is an effort by the financial institution to reinforce its commitment to sports and increase exposure for La Liga Bancomer and Mexican soccer.

The Liga BBVA Bancomer sponsorship is a strategic long-term agreement with the Mexican soccer league. The most important league of CONCACAF, soccer's governing body in North America, Central America and the Caribbean, La Liga MX has more than 75 million followers in Mexico and is also followed in the United States, Central and South America, Europe and recently Africa and Asia.
Vicente Rodero, country manager of BBVA in Mexico, said that the sponsorship of Liga Bancomer reinforces the bank's commitment to Mexico and promoting sports.
