OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 07/30/13 -- Organizations that are planning to submit an application to gain approval to become External Complaint Bodies to the financial industry can contact the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) to request a checklist to assist with their application.
The checklist will support the Application Guide for External Complaints Bodies (ECB), and was developed as a result of recommendations made during the consultative process on the Application Guide.
Please contact the Compliance and Enforcement Branch of FCAC (compliance@fcac.gc.ca or 1-866-461-3222) for a copy of the checklist, or if you have comments or questions about the ECB application process.
Applications will be accepted as of September 2, 2013 and supporting documentation can be submitted to: Compliance and Enforcement Branch, Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, 427 Laurier Avenue West, 6th Floor, Ottawa, Ontario, K1R 1B9.
