Danny Gasper, Malibu Boats/Axis Wake Research Director of Product Design, has been responsible for top innovations with the company for 26 years, "We wanted to build a big boat with a lot of space, that incorporates handling characteristics usually found only on smaller boats," Gasper said. SURF GATE, debuted by Malibu Boats to the market on June 15, 2012, is a groundbreaking innovation that allows for wakesurfing on either side of an evenly weighted boat. It has inspired new levels of riding, transfers, tricks and ease of use. SURF GATE will be operated with the ease of a toggle switch on the dashboard and you can drop The Wedge down to create a larger wave.
