Union Pacific was recognized for its extraordinary plant launch support and for being agile and willing to adjust to Ford's changing business requirements. Ford said the "tireless work and assistance of these suppliers helped to minimize production disruptions, and even more importantly, they exhibited courage, strength and leadership during a time of hardship."

"Union Pacific is proud to support Ford Motor Company with transportation and logistics solutions," said Linda Brandl, Union Pacific Vice President and General Manager - Automotive. "We are committed to fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, providing the greatest efficiency and value to our customers."

Union Pacific's rail network serves customers in the finished vehicle and production/aftermarket parts sectors, directly accessing five finished vehicle assembly plants and operating or accessing more than 40 vehicle distribution centers. Union Pacific's customer base includes nearly all major automotive manufacturers producing finished vehicles for the North American market, along with suppliers and other auto parts supply chain partners.
