Fagen, Inc. Awarded the Air Quality Control System (AQCS) for Unit 8 at the Lon D. Wright Power Plant

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. and FREMONT, Neb., Aug. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fagen, Inc. has been awarded the EPC contract by the City of Fremont, Nebraska for the provision of AQCS emission control technology, detailed engineering and installation of the equipment to the Lon D. Wright Power Plant. This project will allow the plant to meet the Mercury and Air Toxics Standard (MATS rule) and the National Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) with respect to SO2.

Providing a full EPC wrap, project administration/management and full project installation, Fagen, Inc. joined forces with Siemens Environmental Systems & Services, which will be the primary technology partner for the project, and SEGA Inc., which will provide the overall engineering and integration of the Siemens system into the plant.

Unit No. 8 at the Lon D. Wright Power Plant is a 90Mw coal fired unit that will benefit from the retrofit of the Siemens technology and the project will support the target of clean energy and protection of the environment. The project will kick-off immediately and has an in-service target date of the 3rd quarter 2015.

The Fagen team is excited to be part of this market, as the fossil powered generation industry works to bring many of the remaining plants in operation into compliance with the new emission rules.
