ClickSoftware Positioned as a Leader for Third Consecutive Year in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management

BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, October 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqGS: CKSW), the leading provider of automated mobile workforce management and optimization solutions for the service industry, today announced it has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner's 2013 Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management. This is the third consecutive year that ClickSoftware has been named a Leader based on Gartner's criteria including the ability to execute and the completeness of the vision.

According to Gartner, Field Service Management Magic Quadrant vendors "have demonstrated their ability to provide licensed, SaaS or multiple delivery options that support field service for enterprise customers across a range of industries."[1]

Noting Gartner's assessment that the "fieldservicemanagementmarket continues to splinter between vendors that offer specialty capabilities and those that deliver broader field service suites,"[2] ClickSoftware, pioneering the concept of service chain optimization for service businesses of any size, offers a broad range of solutions. Its enterprise mobility offering appears independently in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms.

Dr. Moshe BenBassat, ClickSoftware's Founder and CEO states, "We believe having a mobile solution that is robust enough to standalone, versus an extension off of other field service management applications, is indicative of our depth which supports the needs of an entire field service organization. This prevents the need to continually develop a patchwork of capabilities to support organizations as the market needs evolve."

The company's cloud-based optimization solutions continue to be adopted by mid-market and large enterprise customers like Ledcor. Overall, the number of ClickSoftware's new cloud-based customers in the first nine months of 2013 increased by 100 percent compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, ClickSoftware continues to increase their relative market share in industries such as utility, healthcare and government who are slower to adopt the cloud because of its flexibility to provide an on-premise solution.

ClickSoftware exemplifies Gartner's "Nexus of Forces," which the firm describes as "the convergence and mutual reinforcement of social, mobility, cloud and information patterns that drive new business scenarios."[3] Its solutions integrate mobile, social, optimization and artificial intelligence technologies to drive business value by improving customer service and field workforce efficiency. "One of the keys to rapid deployment for ClickSoftware for any industry is that our collaborative capabilities, and our use of predictive analytics to enable context aware recommendations for mobile users, is built into our service optimization platform and thus available to all of our products including shift planning, scheduling and mobility," added Dr. BenBassat.

"ClickSoftware continues to leverage the unique depth and breadth of our field service management offerings to successfully execute on our vision of an unparalleled service experience for the consumer," noted Dr. BenBassat. "Our ability to deliver both cloud and on-premise solutions, while offering the industry's most dynamic and scalable solutions, gives our customers the right tools to grow and differentiate their own business. ClickSoftware is the largest dedicated field service management vendor by number of customers and market size, which gives us credibility and appeal to prospects looking for a mission-critical solution."

The breadth of ClickSoftware's solutions cover demand forecasting, long-and-short term capacity planning, shift planning, real-time scheduling and optimization, enterprise mobility, and business analytics, giving customers a measurable ROI and enabling them to provide outstanding customer service. Intra-day on-going schedule optimization is one example of a unique differentiator that enables ClickSoftware's customer to become a real-time service enterprise.

In the past 12 months ClickSoftware has continued to expand and innovate. Highlights include:

  • Salesforce.com and NetSuite Partnerships: ClickSoftware announced a partnership with salesforce.com and offers ClickSchedule as a tab within Salesforce. Salesforce Chatter is embedded into ClickSchedule and ClickMobile, with integration between the salesforce.com cloud and the ClickSoftware cloud. The company also announced the ClickSoftware SuiteApp for the NetSuite SuiteCloud Platform.

  • ClickButler Context Aware Personal Assistants: Leveraging Big Data and predictive analytics, ClickButler provides prescriptive recommendations to mobile and other ClickSoftware users.

  • SAP Partnership: ClickSoftware's successful and expanding strategic partnership with SAP now includes ClickSoftware mobility apps in the SAP Store.

  • ClickAppStore: Apps available for download from the ClickAppStore provide health and safety, social collaboration, timekeeping, and crew management capabilities, among others - which can be added via drag-and-drop functionality into ClickSoftware's mobile solutions.
