(www.soles4souls.org) a nonprofit international anti-poverty and relief organization that distributes shoes and clothing, is asking supporters around the world for financial donations so that it can quickly transport new shoes to the Philippines and other areas devastated by Typhoon Haiyan.
Soles4Souls is now redirecting 213,000 pairs of new Bobs shoes donated by Skechers USA, Inc., for delivery to the international relief effort. Clothing, diapers, household goods and other items are also being committed as Soles4Souls mobilizes its many corporate and nonprofit supporters.
"At this point we desperately need additional financial support so we can transport shoes, clothing and other needed items to the areas devastated by this monster storm," said Soles4Souls CEO Buddy Teaster. "Delivery is by far our largest expense and the sooner we can defray those costs, the sooner we can get desperately needed relief supplies to people in need. We are doing everything we can to raise these funds as quickly as possible."
