District Administration Magazine Selects McGraw-Hill Education's Reading Mastery Signature Edition as a 'Readers' Choice Top 100 Product'

NEW YORK, Dec. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --McGraw-Hill Education's Reading Mastery® Signature Edition has been recognized for making a positive difference in education by K-12 leaders who named it to District Administration magazine's "Readers' Choice Top 100 Product for 2013." In recognizing the most innovative products, the annual District Administration Readers' Choice Top 100 Products award informs superintendents and other senior school district leaders about products their colleagues around the country are using to help their districts excel.

Used in thousands of schools across the country, Reading Mastery is a flexible, comprehensive Direct Instruction reading intervention program that is aligned to the Common Core State Standards and designed to help struggling students in grades K-5 become fluent, independent and highly skilled readers. Available as a supplemental or core reading program, Reading Mastery engages students through dynamic digital resources and customizable assessments to hone vocabulary, writing and reading comprehension and to ensure that students stay on track for middle and high school.

"We are thrilled to receive this honor from District Administration and to know that district leaders and teachers find value in our engaging Reading Mastery program," said Lisa O'Masta, vice president, product marketing at McGraw-Hill Education. "We've seen first-hand how this program has changed the lives of students - especially in the era of the Common Core State Standards - and we're excited to continue to help these students grow, improve and become confident readers and writers throughout their lives."

The winners, selected by District Administration's editors from a record 1,800-plus nominations, were products that received the highest number of nominations and best descriptions from K-12 leaders. The Readers' Choice Top 100 has been announced online and in the December issue of District Administration.

"The fact that we had a record number of readers participating in this recognition program is a testament to the interest that K12 leaders have in products for improving educational outcomes and operational efficiencies," says JD Solomon, District Administration's editorial director. "All of the honorees in our Top 100 program should be very proud of their achievement."
