Companies Throughout the Metro New York Area Collect Toys and Food For the Children and Families in the Easter Seals New York Community
BRONX, N.Y., Dec. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On December 19th and 20th, the New York State Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P) and Laffey Fine Homes brought Santa Claus and presents to children with disabilities and special needs at Easter Seals New York's Bronx Child Development Center (CDC) located at 2433 East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx. Both the New York State F.O.P and Laffey Fine Homes have been long time friends of Easter Seals New York (ESNY), reaching out to the community to help bring joy and the holiday spirit to the children of our Bronx CDC for over ten years.

As Aris Pavlides, Senior Vice President of Development looked on during a holiday giving event, he remarked that, "In a city with millions, there are some very caring individuals that donate their time, their talent, and their treasure. Thanks to the recurring help of the New York State F.O.P and Laffey Fine Homes, as well as Jennifer Connelly Public Relations, Amway, Starbucks and Century 21, all of whom donated their time and resources to help ESNY, and individuals living in their communities, the Bronx CDC's Holiday Party was able to provide all of its students with the chance to not only see Santa, but guarantee each child at least one present this holiday season. As Philip Laffey, President of Laffey Fine Homes, completed being Santa for his eighth year at the Bronx CDC, he commented, "Giving never gets old, but I'm amazed by how much more I receive back from the smiles on these kid's faces." These wonderful groups, as well as other members of the ESNY family, also volunteer their time and generously contribute food to the ESNY Community Holiday Outreaches in Port Jervis and at the ESNY Vocational Services Program in Manhattan over Thanksgiving and Christmas, which help hundreds of families to not go hungry or wanting during the holidays.
