"Our partners at JPMorgan Chase immediately recognized the significance of this extraordinary loan from the Art Institute of Chicago and were eager to share it with their customers," commented Eric M. Lee, director of the Kimbell Art Museum. "I'm thrilled that so many more will have the opportunity to visit this exhibition due to their generosity."

The Age of Picasso and Matisse: Modern Masters from the Art Institute of Chicago
Some of the most celebrated works of modern European art are on view at the Kimbell Art Museum through February 16th in the largest loan of its kind from the Art Institute of Chicago. Among the works are 10 by Pablo Picasso and 10 by Henri Matisse, including Picasso's Old Guitarist and Matisse's Bathers by a River. The art by these friends and rivals revolutionized Europe at the turn of the century. Also included are works by Maurice de Vlaminck, Georges Braque, Juan Gris, Max Beckmann, Vasily Kandinsky, Marc Chagall, Kazimir Malevich, Fernand Léger, Piet Mondrian, Constantin Brâncusi, Alberto Giacometti, Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Max Ernst, Paul Delvaux, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Paul Klee. In all, nearly 100 works are at the Kimbell Art Museum, the only venue for the exhibition.

This exhibition is organized by the Art Institute of Chicago and the Kimbell Art Museum, Fort Worth. It is supported by an indemnity from the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities. This exhibition is also supported by JPMorgan and a major grant from the Leo Potishman Foundation. Promotional support is provided by American Airlines, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and NBC 5.
