Paul Chang, MD, MBA, MPH, CPHQ, FACHE, is now Vice President, Accreditation, Standards, and Measurement. Chang joined JCI in 2007 as Asia-Pacific Office Managing Director, where he collaborated with regional ministries of health, hospitals, and other organizations to improve health outcomes, quality, and safety. Previously, he served in the Singapore Ministry of Health and led Changi General Hospital to achieve JCI accreditation and disease-specific certification in two cardiology programs.

Chang takes over for Paul vanOstenberg, DDS, MS, who served in the vice president role for many years. This month vanOstenberg was appointed Senior Advisor, Global Growth and Innovation, where he will identify client needs, enhance JCI's regional presence, and advance JCI's innovative projects in resource-poor countries. His tenure with JCI includes serving as the first Managing Director of both the Europe and Asia-Pacific Offices and the first Executive Director of International Accreditation.

Another high-profile addition to JCI's leadership team is Marwa J. Zohdy, PhD, Vice President, Global Consulting Services for JCI and JCR. Zohdy is leading accreditation and performance improvement consulting for health care organizations in the U.S. and 100-plus countries. Previously, she served in the Healthcare Systems and Services practice of McKinsey & Company, working with leaders in the U.S., United Kingdom, Middle East, and North Africa.
