The polling company, inc./WomanTrend conducted the poll between February 20-23. One thousand adults were polled for the survey. The results have a 3.1 percent margin of error.

FRChas been a leader in defending the religious liberties of all Americans against the Obamacare Health and Human Services mandate that all employers must pay for drugs that can act like abortifacients in their health plans or pay fines, regardless of an employer's religious views.FRChasfiled an amicus briefwith the Supreme Court in the Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood cases.FRChas also written extensively on the Obama administration'sfailure to promote religious liberty abroad.

"Americans are looking for pastors to defend religious liberty," Perkins said at the news conference. "Religious liberty is our First Freedom and it serves as the foundation for all other freedoms. Communities change when pastors speak up. If pastors will speak to the issues from a redemptive heart, we can see this country turn around," concluded Perkins.

Rafael Cruz, director of Purifying Ministries and father of U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) encouraged pastors to speak with boldness by adding, "Too many pastors have been intimidated by a concept of separation of church and state not found in the Constitution."

Dr. Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Dallas, speaking at the news conference, said, "No president in history has launched an attack on religious liberty like President Obama. If pastors remain AWOL on this issue like they have on others, we will lose the war for religious freedom that our forefathers gave their life's blood to provide."
