American Revolutionary War lieutenant John Daniel Vaughan originally designed Mount Hope Plantation in 1797. After Vaughan's death in 1860, the property remained with his heirs until another family purchased the home in the 1940's. The property then traded hands several times before it was acquired by its current owners.

Although Manormor has been involved with several real estate auctions, this transaction marks their first auction with Platinum.
