Further commercial testing of drones has been grounded in the United States pending a legal case, but testing has paved the way for flowers to be delivered by UAV in the United Kingdom for future Mothering Sundays.

On March 6, a U.S. federal judge ruled to legalize the use of drones for commercial purposes, but the Federal Aviation Administration is appealing the ruling. The case is now pending before the National Transportation and Safety Board.
The answer is no clearer in the United Kingdom, where various governing bodies including the European Aviation Safety Agency and Civil Aviation Authority have worked to determine policies regarding UAVs.
