BENICIA, Calif., March 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --RIX Industries, USA, and Bental Motion Systems, Israel, have forged an agreement to provide Electric Motors, Alternator/Generators, UAV, Missile Flight Actuators, and Blowers for Military and Severe Duty Requirements for the U.S. Marketplace.
Bental Motion Systems brings a legacy of Israeli design skill, determination, and a competent product line that support products such as the Merkava Tank, MRAP, and a variety of unmanned platforms and guided missiles. Bental Motion Systems products currently support many international customers including IMOD, Rafael, Elbit, Boeing, Raytheon, and AAI.
RIX Industries brings its 136 year history of providing engineered military products and systems to the U.S. Marketplace. RIX Industries has been a U.S. Defense contractor since 1895 and its products are on a number of platforms, including: CVN's, DDG's, SSN's, the P-8A Poseidon ASW Aircraft, and the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet.
The agreement provides for a cooperative effort to take existing Bental components and subsystems and manufacture these products in the U.S., thereby creating a U.S. based supplier for these critically important aerospace components. RIX and Bental will continue to cooperate on new designs, and will maintain two separate workforces for this effort, thereby ensuring the appropriate international separation required for some defense requirements.
RIX Industries will actively market these products beginning in March 2014, and can begin supplying products immediately. RIX, with a transfer of manufacturing technology and preparation of its manufacturing facility, can begin supplying U.S. produced products in 18-24 months. However, all products can be supported in the U.S. immediately.
Bental's aerospace experience and design expertise, combined with RIX Industries' tradition of reliability and excellence, will be a welcome benefit to the U.S. Defense and Severe Duty Market places.
