ObservePoint Offers Free Deployment Assessment to Show Companies Their Digital Marketing Blind Spots

OREM, Utah, March 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Digital marketing technology and analytics quality assurance company, ObservePoint, is offering digital marketers a chance to identify some of their digital marketing blind spots with its free deployment assessment. The tool scans 100 pages on a website and delivers a report with data about the efficiency of a company's digital marketing tag deployments. ObservePoint will debut the tool at the Adobe Summit in Booth 200.

"According to our research from auditing millions of pages in 2014, we found that nearly 20 percent of pages across the entire web are missing tags," said, Rob Seolas, CEO and co-founder of ObservePoint. "When you consider the growing investment into digital marketing and how spotty data collection is, it's alarming to think that marketers are making such heavy investments in technology without proper data quality controls." The deployment assessment gives marketers and decision makers a glimpse into their technology stack's deployment quality and shines a light on their digital marketing blind spots."

ObservePoint's free deployment assessment is a web-based application that automates the auditing process and delivers a personalized scorecard of the company's website and how its tag environment is performing. Companies can receive their free scorecard by visiting learn.observepoint.com/assessment.

Each report will display an audit score based on the following benchmark data:

  • Audit Score - A composite score based on five tagging best practices;
  • Tag Environment - Number and name of tags found on the site;
  • Data Points - Number of pages scanned; page load times; pages missing tags

Tag auditing is a fundamental process of managing data quality in online marketing tools. Advertising, analytics, audience measurement, CRM marketing, and tag management solutions rely on JavaScript tags inserted directly on to each web page. Failing to perform regular tag audits can have disastrous results. During a recent audit, a new ObservePoint customer discovered a 24,000 visit-per-month data loss as a result of a single missing tag.

Continued Seolas, "ObservePoint's mission is to help digital marketers deliver the promise of their technology. Auditing and monitoring tags instills confidence in data and technology, so decision makers can act on marketing truths."

In addition to the free deployment assessment, ObservePoint has recently added over 200 technologies to its free Tag Debugger for Google Chrome. The Tag Debugger troubleshoots and inspects all web analytics tags variables and on-click events variables. The Tag Debugger can be downloaded on their website at http://www.observepoint.com/productplugin
