FREDERICKSBURG, Va., May 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) and its members sadly mourn the passing of former House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman James L. "Jim" Oberstar (D-Minn.), who died yesterday at his home in Potomac, Md. He was 79.

ATSSA members had the privilege to see Rep. Oberstar in his element during ATSSA's Annual Convention and Traffic Expo in February, where he spoke with convention attendees passionately about numerous roadway safety and transportation issues.
