GRENOBLE, France, May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Centre de Recherche Economique de Grenoble (CREG) and the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) are organising a two day workshop on the sustainability of full employment in a monetary union, applied to the Eurozone. It aims to identify the different scenarios available to the Eurozone and evaluate their effects on growth and employment.
The workshop has an international focus with 32 panelists from 15 countries: the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Ecuador, Argentina, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, and the United Kingdom.
The diverse institutional origins (universities, central banks, international organisations, ministries, research centres, etc.) were favoured to allow fruitful discussions over approaches and methodologies. The scientific benefits of the workshop will be large, particularly through the publication of special dossiers in the four partner journals (International Journal of
Political Economy, Review of Keynesian Economics, Journal of Post Keynesian Economics,
Revue de la Régulation).
Grenoble students and Ph.D. students from the CREG are involved in the workshop.
