MEXICO CITY, June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Grupo Aeromexico S.A.B. de C.V. ("Aeromexico") (BMV: AEROMEX) the largest airline in Mexico, reports its operating statistics for May 2014.
- Grupo Aeromexico transported 1 million 454 thousand passengers in May; an 18.7% year-on-year increase. International market passenger numbers increased by 27.8%, while domestic market passenger numbers increased by 15.3%.
- Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), increased by 25.2%, year-on-year. Aeromexico's capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), increased by 19.8% year-on-year.
- May load factor was 78.8%; a 3.3 percentage point increase, year-on-year.
