LAS VEGAS, June 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --GrowBLOX Sciences, Inc. (OTCQB: GBLX), a biotechnology and research company, today announced through its local partnership, GB Sciences Nevada, LLC, that it has secured a special use permit in Clark County, Nevada for its medical marijuana establishment. The Company completed its presentation to the Board of Commissioners and was successful in acquiring this special use permit for its Fort Apache dispensary. The Company will await final State approval and will be applying for a State business license in the coming weeks.
Clark County held three days of lengthy public hearings in order for applicants to present to the commission. Commissioners allowed the public time and access for rebuttals in their respective neighborhoods, and voted on the third day, after a full review of all presentations. A list of required information was set in ordinance and applicants were required to meet each and all ordinances. The Company met all ordinances and will move forward in applying to the State for a business license to operate its dispensary.

The partnership was one of 81 applicants for dispensaries in Clark County and out of that 81, 18 were chosen for the special use permit license. The Company's Fort Apache location is the only dispensary to service the needs of patients in that area, making The Company special use permit license all the more important for Clark County.
