HOUSTON, Aug. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Tradition Bank, in the spirit of community involvement, is partnering once again with YMCA of Greater Houston for Operation Backpack. The annual drive provides children in need of backpacks and school supplies with these items, through the generosity of their local community. Operation Backpack is celebrating its 10th year in supporting area children's education, and is striving to donate 75,000 backpacks in 2014.
Tradition Bank, an annual participant in the drive, is pleased to offer each of their seven locations throughout the Houston area as donation sites for Operation Backpack. Each of these spots will provide members of the community with a convenient drop off spot, and an opportunity to individually give back to local students.
To participate in Operation Backpack, simply purchase a new, age appropriate backpack and fill it with school supplies. A complete list of suggested supplies, as well as additional information on the drive, can be found at ymcahouston.org/operationbackpack. After filling your backpack with supplies, bring it by any Tradition Bank location until the conclusion of the drive on August 22nd.
