Attempting to create softer materials with lower hardness levels often resulted in very sticky, non-scalable and non-processable materials. Identifying this market need, Lubrizol Engineered Polymers developed PearlbondTM HM 46AB3 NAT 021, a new soft, plasticizer-free TPU grade for HMAs that provides a hardness level lower than 50 shore A.
PearlbondTM HM 46AB3 NAT 021 is a plasticizer-free material providing excellent processing properties/no tack, and bonding properties at low temperatures with a hardness level lower than 50 shore A. PearlbondTM HM 46AB3 NAT 021, specifically unique in the textile market, fills the gap between crystalline and amorphous TPU and offers a low hysteresis behavior resulting in a higher adaptability and response of the garment to body movement, granting it an additional soft touch. Within FEICA's conference session "Non-reactive Hot Melt Adhesives" on September 18, Lubrizol will present its new PearlbondTM HM 46AB3 NAT 021 grade in more detail.
