Switchback pairs former young adult offenders, called Trainees, with a full-time Switchback Mentor who builds an unconditional, long-term, intensive and motivational relationship with each Trainee, to help them achieve stability across 10 Switchback Pathways. Switchback works with a range of employers (from local cafes to luxury hotels), agencies (including probation and housing) and specialists (such as colleges and drug counsellors), which improve the chances of success for Trainees and the organizations involved. By helping Trainees navigate these systems and access existing opportunities, Switchback provides a conduit from prison to the community that is completely tailored to the individual.
Switchback will use ETO software to provide outcomes-focused case management to Trainees, and to provide accurate data to inform internal development as well as external stakeholders.
