Spanish BOPP film manufacturer Poligal announces the kick off a 30 million Euro investment project for the installation of its next BOPP extrusion line in a new greenfield plant in Poland.

The new plant will initially include an 8,7m wide 5-layer Brückner BOPP extrusion line with a production capacity of40.000TPA of BOPP film.The line is expected to be fully operational in Q3 2016. Further investment options to add metallization capacity to the plant are currently under consideration.
The plant will be located in Skarbimierz, 60 km south of Wroclaw.The company's aim is to be close to its clients, able to offer the quick reaction times and topservicethe European market is demanding.The chosen location offers Poligal the possibility of being only 2 hours away from Germany, as well as being at the heart of the fast growing flexible packaging market in Poland where Poligal is already present.
This new line will allow Poligal to develop its competitiveness in certain product segments like label films, and will strengthen its capabilities in the developmentoffilms for specialty applications.
It will also allow Poligal to offer to top European converters and end users a strong European-wide coverage and a full production back up with the existing plants in Spain and Portugal.
This new plant constitutes the main investment in Poligal's strategic plan 2012-2016, with a strong focus on growth, internationalisation and technology development.According to CEO Santiago Font, Poligal's aim is to grow in size and improve its geographical coverage while remaining a medium sized player focused on delivering top quality films, top service and close cooperation with clients in project development.
Poligal is also announcing that the ongoing project for a new CPP extrusion 4.8 m wide Reifenhäuser line in its plant in Portugal is moving forward and the line is expected to be fully operational from June 2015.
All these investments are made under European standards and Poligal policies of safety and environmental protection.
