PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 03/04/15 -- The Arizona Lottery announces that a $1.2 million The Pick jackpot from the drawing on Wednesday, Feb. 11, has been claimed.
The winner purchased the ticket from the Blue Ridge Market located at 210 S. Highway 69 in Dewey, AZ. The husband and wife waited to come forward in order to have time to make an educated decision. The winning numbers were numbers they have used for more than 30 years.
"It was a fantastic day for today's winners," said Karen Bach, director of products and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "We look forward to more winners in the future."
The winner chose the $821,917.80 cash option before taxes and says they will use the winnings to purchase a new car and invest the rest of the money.
The Pick offers many appealing features to players, including four ways to win a cash prize and the option to play numbers for up to ten consecutive drawing dates on the same ticket. The starting jackpot is $1 million, and the second prize for matching five of six numbers is $2,000.
The next The Pick drawing is tonight for an estimated $1.2 million jackpot. Tickets can be purchased at any Arizona Lottery retailer.
Players must be 21 years or older to purchase or redeem tickets. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize at an Arizona Lottery office or by mail. Overall odds vary by game.
