BlueFocus Announces 2014 Annual Results

-- Driving Transformation amid Rapid Business Growth

BEIJING, March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BlueFocus Communications Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "BlueFocus") announced its financial result for 2014. During this period, the company posted gross operating revenue of RMB 5,979,088,200 (US$ 965 million), up 66.83% from a year ago; with net profit of RMB 711,883,900 (US$ 115 million), up 62.79% year-over-year. BlueFocus continues its digital transformation and globalization effort while managing to maintain its rapid growth and the leading position in the Chinese market.

Fully committed to becoming a true leader in the digital era, BlueFocus records revenue of RMB 3,270,575,758 (US$ 528 million) in digital related business, which is 54.70% of the total, up 100.84% from RMB 1,628,425,840 (US$ 264 million) a year ago. This is the first time that the revenue from digital business overtook its traditional counterpart.

BlueFocus has also established its strategic Business Innovation Group (BIG), extended the digital domain to big data, mobile internet and e-commerce, beyond the traditional concept of communication on cyberspace. BlueFocus' DMP (Data Management Platform) integrates the data from online search, payment, social media, etc. with the first-hand CRM data from the clients. A complete user profile can be generated based on all these data, which makes precision marketing possible. On the e-commerce front, BlueFocus supported the clients in achieving more than RMB 2 billion (US$ 323 million) online turnover. Mobile Internet Business Group was established in Q4 2014 and has enjoyed the most rapid growth. In 2014, BlueFocus completed more than 20 strategic investments in the emerging areas, and these investments are expected to bring new data, technology as well as talents for leap forward.

The revenue coming from the overseas market for BlueFocus has reached RMB 405,447,587 (US$ 65 million) in 2014, nearly 7% of the total. In July 2014, BlueFocus appointed Holly Zheng as the International President based in the United States to accelerate its expansion globally. Following the investments in Huntsworth and We Are Social in Europe, BlueFocus shifted gear to North America during the report period. We made majority investment in Fuseproject, one of the world's top design firms behind the design mastermind Yves Behar. At the end of 2014, BlueFocus becamea majority shareholder of Vision 7, the leading media and communication company in Canada. Vision 7 holds several major brands such as Cossette Media and PR firm Citizen Relations. Through these aggressive initiatives, BlueFocus has become the only Chinese player capable of providing marketing services to support Chinese companies globally.
