Energy Efficiency Award 2015: the German Energy Agency is Looking for Energy-efficient Companies

BERLIN, April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Entries invited from industry and commerce for the competition organised under the auspices of the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs

Industrial and manufacturing companies can now enter their energy efficiency projects for the Energy Efficiency Award 2015, which is awarded by the German Energy Agency (dena). The competition, which is open to international entrants, is held under the auspices of the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Sigmar Gabriel, and has a total prize fund of EUR 30,000. The deadline for entries is 15 July 2015. Entries are free, and companies can find more information about how to enter the competition at http://www.EnergyEfficiencyAward.de.

The competition is open to companies of all sizes and sectors that have successfully implemented projects to increase energy efficiency in their own operations. The aim of the competition is to publicise outstanding energy efficiency strategies across all sectors.

A jury of experts will assess the competition entries according to the following criteria: energy saving, relevance to climate protection, cost-efficiency, degree of innovation, and compatibility. The award ceremony will take place at the dena Energy Efficiency Congress on 16 November 2015 in Berlin.

dena's Initiative EnergieEffizienz - Unternehmen und Institutionen (Energy Efficiency Campaign for Companies and Institutions) is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on the basis of a resolution by the German parliament.
