PartyLite Donates Close to EUR 30,000 to the Global Earth Hour Movement from 10,000 Parties

Participating for the second time in the annual Earth Hour event, organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), PartyLite, the world's leading direct sales company for candles and accessories, has donated close to EUR 30,000 to the Global Earth Hour Movement. Contributions were raised at more than 10,000 parties held in Europe, North America, and Australia in March.

The donation was raised throughout March from sales of PartyLite's Brighter World scented jar candles and trio sets together with an exclusive tealight pack offer promoted during the Earth Hour Weekend. This pack included top selling fragranced tealights together with a new, pre-launched summer 2015 fragrance. One euro from every sale of these items was donated to the Earth Hour cause.

Brighter World candles are made from a high quality soy blend wax exclusively by PartyLite. Local communities in Laos and Comoros, where the scented materials for these products originate, are supported in their use of sustainable growing methods and regional programmes.

Earth Hour 2015 was held on 28^th March from 8:30 - 9:30 pm whereby all non-essential lights and appliances were turned off and candles lit across many continents and time zones lightsoffcandleson!
