Dwell Media President and CEO Michela O'Connor Abrams and Informa Exhibitions U.S., Construction and Real Estate President Rick McConnell make this announcement on the opening day of the 10th annual Dwell on Design to celebrate the power of this collaboration-one that will elevate the experiential offerings and status of Dwell on Design for the attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors that they value across each of their shows.

"Dwell Media, the voice of modern design, has established Dwell on Design as the largest must-attend design event in the U.S.," said Rick McConnell, President of Informa Exhibitions U.S. "The acquisition is a tremendous addition to the Informa portfolio, and now strategically positions Informa to be the most significant producer of design and construction exhibitions in the country. We are excited to partner with Dwell Media to make Dwell on Design the must-attend design event worldwide."

With the acquisition of Dwell on Design, Informa adds to its roster of over 150 events worldwide and continues to expand its shows in the Design vertical, following the acquisition of Hanley Wood Exhibitions in 2014. For both brands, the long-term partnership agreement is entered into with the goal of establishing Dwell on Design's global presence as the premier design event series and voice of modern design.

Integral to the Dwell on Design experience is the on-stage content, which will continue to be curated by Dwell Media-with Dwell Executive Vice President of Content Amanda Dameron leading the editorial team. Since its inception in 2006, the content themes have extended from the show floor to offsite events at Dwell Design Week and will remain dedicated to driving attendee engagement and exhibitor activations at Dwell on Design.

"It has long been the plan for Dwell on Design to include international arms of what is truly America's largest design event," said Dwell President and CEO Michela O'Connor Abrams. "Paramount to achieving that level of growth was finding the right partner. I am confident that we have done just that with Informa Exhibitions U.S., Construction and Real Estate, and that Rick McConnell and his team will make Dwell on Design the largest must-see design event worldwide."
