The wide-body twinjet will be the first fixed-wing aircraft in China fully equipped to perform air medevac services. It will be equipped with a full medevac mission kit by Dassault Aircraft Service in Wilmington, Delaware for delivery in September 2015.

Beijing Red Cross Emergency Medical Center is an International Red Cross Association dedicated to providing medical services and has been among the pioneers in the Chinese air ambulance field. Equipped with state of the art medical equipment, including a full digital command center, and staffed by more than 100 medical professionals, 999 was the first air medevac provider in China to launch a three-dimensional rescue package combining ambulances, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. In the decade it has been in operation, it has provided pre-hospital rescue and medical treatment service for over 3 million patients.

"There are few aircraft platforms in the world capable of handling the demanding requirements 999 set for this medevac aircraft," said Olivier Villa, Senior Vice President Civil Aircraft, Dassault Aviation. "Specifications included a robust and reliable platform suitable for all types of medevac missions, including treatment of the Ebola virus; the ability to access difficult airfields like Lhasa, located 12,000 feet above sea level; and an air circulation system capable of providing ultra-fresh cabin air for in-flight surgery and patient care. The Falcon 2000LX met them all."

The Beijing Red Cross Emergency Medical Center (999) aircraft will be equipped with an electrical patient loading system and a full medical suite and an electrical power supply sized for a complete medical module. The medical module will include a stretcher with dedicated lighting, a three-bottle oxygen supply, and monitoring and analysis equipment. It will also be able to accommodate special devices like defibrillators electrocardiographs, echographs, a blood bank and an ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) unit.

The 4,000 nm Falcon 2000LX is an upgraded version of the Falcon 2000EX EASy featuring the same PW308C engines and award winning EASy flight deck but offering a 5% range improvement. 170 Falcon 2000LX are in service around the world.
