Publication of a prospectus
The board of BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the publication today of a prospectus (the "Prospectus") in respect of a Placing Programme of up to 50 million Ordinary Shares and the admission of those Ordinary Shares to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority with a premium listing and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities.
In order to satisfy demand for the Company's Ordinary Shares, the Company has issued 8,410,000 Ordinary Shares in the 12 months prior to 19 June 2015, representing approximately 7.69 per cent. of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital. At its annual general meeting in March 2015 the Company took shareholder authority to issue Ordinary Shares and to disapply pre-emption rights in respect of 30 per cent. of its issued Ordinary Share capital. The Company has continued to issue Ordinary Shares in response to investor demand and, accordingly, is publishing the Prospectus to enable the Company to continue to issue further Ordinary Shares.
A copy of the Prospectus has been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at http//:www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/NSM and also at the Company's website which is located at www.blackrock.co.uk/brci. Terms used and not defined in this announcement shall have the meanings given to them in the Prospectus.
