Siewert & Kau, IT distribution and logistics services specialist, far exceeded its revenue target of over half a billion euros in the past financial year. The wholesaler increased its total earnings by 55 million euros to a total of 545 million euros, thus generating an 11 per cent increase in revenue. The good total income is based solely on organic growth of Siewert & Kau's typical "focused distribution", and also confirms the success of the new solution-based sales approach which has been implemented in the corporate strategy. In addition, the company increased its workforce by six per cent to around 320 employees.
The PC systems and imaging product areas posted a particularly significant increase year-on-year. The above-average growth in relation to the market was especially positive here. The proactive sales approach and the related, in-depth products and expertise bore fruit in higher customer and manufacturer retention.
"With a view to the corporate customer sector as an additional sales driver, we expanded our existing "Fast lane" sales model with a new solution-based orientation at the beginning of 2015. This strategy will allow us to create valuable additional synergies and incentives to support sales," Siewert adds.
The way paved for future growth
In the next few months, Siewert & Kau will continue to expand its penetration as a reliable, flexible partner for the specialist trade sector and manufacturers. In response to the persistently good growth and the high demand for IT products and logistics services, Siewert & Kau started the new financial year by expanding its warehousing capacity by some 30 per cent as well as 1,000 sqm of additional office space.
