championships, which will feature 46 events, including 34 individual and

Quotes
"Following the remarkable performance of our swimmers at the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games, we have a good idea of what to expect from them at the 2016 FINA World Swimming Championships (25m). Once again, they'll have the privilege of competing against the best swimmers in the world, in front of a very enthusiastic Canadian crowd. Good luck to all!"
-The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport)
"This is the second largest FINA event next to the long-course World Championships, and Canada-with the City of Windsor at the helm-is honoured to host this prestigious event. Mega sporting events could not happen without the support of the Government of Canada, and on behalf of the swimming community, we say thank you. The Government continues to demonstrate its commitment and dedication to sport by supporting this event. We find ourselves once again a destination to the world. Swimming is not just a sport but a national activity."
