LSBF Releases Great Minds Live Video With PwC UK Managing Partner

LONDON, September 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) has released a video interview with Kevin Ellis, Managing Partner at Big Four audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Recorded during the spring term at the LSBF campus in central London, the video is part of the institution's Great Minds Live series - in which business and political leaders are invited to discuss their experiences and share insights with academics and an audience of students.

Led by Dr Steve Priddy, Director of Research and Academic Dean at LSBF, the conversation covered topic such as globalisation challenges facing companies, the importance of building reputations in business and career options for graduates.

"There are big challenges for all global organisations in a world that is less global than before. There isn't one global law," said Mr Ellis. "We are seeing [globalisation] go backwards with terrorism and unrest and, for businesses, this is a challenge."

Having worked for PwC since 1984, Mr Ellis has specialised in providing turnaround and restructuring services for underperforming businesses in the public and private sectors. A chartered accountant by trade, he said that despite the automation of certain functions, global businesses still have a lot to benefit from integrated reporting and auditing. "A lot of focus is on efficient use of business resources. 75% of CEOs say their business is dependent on long term reporting," he said.

The full interview with Mr Ellis is available on the LSBF Official YouTube channel.

Mr Ellis was a guest of the LSBF Great Minds Live, a series of events aimed at bringing students, business and political leaders together to debate current issues related to economy, employment, business and finance. The school has held a number of Great Minds Live events during the spring and summer terms and respective videos will be released over the coming months.
