Leaders in Science, Business, Tech, Politics, Economics, Academics and the Arts Gather in New York on September 21-22 for the 2015 Blouin Creative Leadership Summit

NEW YORK, Sept. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --The Louise Blouin Foundation (LBF) announces the 10th annual Blouin Creative Leadership Summit (BCLS), a unique cross-disciplinary event bringing together leaders of all kinds - directors of global agencies and institutions, CEOs, Nobel laureates, pioneering researchers, entrepreneurs, and other innovators - in panel discussions focused on creative solutions to pressing global challenges.

On September 21 and 22, 2015, more than 100 of these leaders will assemble in New York to address subjects such as climate change, mass automation, China's future, the Syrian exodus, Europe's economy, African democracy, global corruption, luxury and sustainability, and more.

"The BCLS was founded to highlight how creative and multi-disciplinary thinking - whether from the arts, humanities, or sciences - could breathe new life into intractable political, environmental, and foreign policy problems, and help chart new approaches to emergent threats and opportunities," says Louise Blouin, Founder and Chairman of LBF. "For a decade, it has facilitated open discussion and innovative problem solving among some of the world's best minds."

Participants in the 2015 BCLS include high-profile leaders in economics (e.g., Eric Maskin, Nobel laureate and Harvard professor), technology (Nicholas Negroponte, Founder, MIT Media Lab), world affairs (John Campbell, Council on Foreign Relations and former U.S. ambassador to Nigeria; L. Paul Bremer, former U.S. envoy to Iraq), politics and policy (former French finance minister Edmond Alphandéry, president, Centre for European Policy Studies), humanitarian aid (Kenneth Roth, Executive Director, Human Rights Watch), science (Eric Kandel, Nobel laureate and professor of neuroscience, Columbia University; Thomas Mason, Director, Oak Ridge National Laboratory), the arts (Kasper Holten, Director, London's Royal Opera House; Liliana Saldaña Lobera, Director, Mexico City's Palacio de Bellas Artes; Matthias Naske, artistic director, Weiner Konzerhaus), architecture (César Pelli, Bjarke Ingels), business (CEOs Stanley Bergman, Patrick Meade) journalism (Andrew Revkin and Eduardo Porter, The New York Times; Elizabeth "Lally" Weymouth, Senior Associate Editor, The Washington Post), and about a hundred more high-profile figures in multiple fields. For a full list of participants and panel topics please visit: www.creativeleadershipsummit.org.

The BCLS includes the Louise Blouin Foundation Awards Gala, honoring leaders who have made extraordinary global contributions through creativity - including, this year, international curator Okwui Enwezor, Nobel Prize-winning economist Thomas Sargent, biomechatronics pioneer Hugh Herr, and architect Zaha Hadid.
